What is .925 Silver Sterling?
Sterling Silver is one of the three precious metals along with gold and platinum. It is the most popular metal used jewelry in the world. Sterling silver is also called .925 which means it consists of 92.5% silver and 7.5% of other metals, usually copper. Pure silver would be too soft to be used as jewelries. Hence, the addition of other metals like copper gives silver strength and durability and makes it a perfect combination for application in 925 silver jewelries.
How do I care for my .925 Sterling Silver?
Sterling Silver is susceptible to tarnish. This is naturally occurring reaction the metal has with chemicals in the air. Frequent light polishing with a polishing cloth designed for sterling silver will help minimize tarnishes. (This method is not advisable for silver jewelries with rhodium plating) You can also wash your jewelry with warm water and soap, rinse them well and dry completely before storing your jewelry.
Avoid having your jewelry come in contact with any harsh chemicals like chlorine, cosmetics, hair spray, perfume and minimizing sun exposure will also help preventing tarnishes.

What is Rhodium Plating?
Rhodium Plating is the application of a thin layer of the metal rhodium over the silver. This adds durability to the jewelry's finishing and prevents tarnish to the silver. Please do note NOT to USE a silver polishing cloth over rhodium finishes as this will eventually damage the finishing. Simply use warm water and water solution to clean and blot gently with a soft cloth to dry.
What is Cubic Zirconia (CZ)?
Cubic Zirconia is a man-made stone that provides near flawless and a brilliant sparkle to jewelries. It is the most popular choice to replicate the look of diamonds. When set in sterling silvers, cubic zirconia stones give jewelries an expensive look but at a fraction of the price. Cubic zirconia is relatively hard, 8-8.5 on the Mohs scale - slightly harder than most semi precious natural gems.
